The Right Moment Finally Came for This Special Sheet of Paper
I discovered this Canson Mi-Teintes Touch paper during a visit to an art supplies store and brought one sheet back to my studio, where it has been waiting quietly since last year. Now, inspired by a winter photograph I took myself, I’ve finally started experimenting with it — first with pencil and now with dry pastel. I’m fascinated to see how its fine, textured surface will hold the pigment and influence the atmosphere, details and feeling of the finished artwork.

A Fresh Look at My Art Studio & Gallery

Lately, I’ve been making a few changes around my art studio and gallery in Scheidegg, and one of them was long overdue: giving the outdoor poster and A-frame sign a completely new look. My previous experience as a web and graphic designer has been especially helpful here, allowing me to approach the design with a trained eye for composition, visual hierarchy and how information is communicated. I wanted the new design to be cleaner, more contemporary and easier to notice from the street, while still giving visitors the essential information about my art exhibition and what they can discover inside the gallery. For the background, I chose one of my latest geometric artworks created with gel pen, bringing my own art directly into the design of the sign. I also replaced the old A1 sign with a smaller second-hand A2 A-frame sign that is easier to handle and much more stable in windy weather. It’s a small studio update, but I love how these little changes can transform the way my art space welcomes visitors.

I Didn’t Throw Away the Pencil Shavings — I Turned Them Into Art
What if the tiny curls left behind after sharpening a colored pencil weren’t waste at all? ✏️✨ I started saving these colorful pencil shavings, wondering if they could one day become something beautiful — and that simple thought eventually turned into unique handmade earrings, a one-of-a-kind pendant, and a unique handmade candle holder or cigarette rest.
I love discovering new possibilities in materials that are usually overlooked, so instead of letting these fragile fragments end up in the bin, I gave them a second life through upcycling, sustainable design and contemporary handmade art. Each piece tells the story of a simple pencil transformed into something completely unexpected — from wearable jewelry to a colorful table object.

While on vacation in Madeira, I collected delicate leaf skeletons, fascinated by their intricate natural patterns and the memories they carry. 🍃 I brought them home to preserve their fragile beauty in resin and transform them into unique handmade pendants and earrings, creating wearable memories inspired by nature.
