August 2026 art brings new creative stories from my studio, including original artwork, handmade jewelry, nature-inspired resin creations, custom portraits, and new pieces inspired by nature. This month, I’m sharing the stories behind my latest artworks, jewelry collections, creative experiments, and life at my Atelier Galerie Ala Botnarescu in Scheidegg, Germany.

🌱 Discover the new Flora & Fauna Drawing Series by Ala Botnarescu in Portofolio

I’m happy to introduce a new collection in my portfolio: the Flora & Fauna Drawing Series, a series of original gel pen & ink drawings inspired by the diversity and beauty of the natural world, reflecting my deep love for nature, animals, and the hidden details of life around us. The collection includes animal portraits such as The Veal, Goat, and Cat Portrait, ocean-inspired artworks – The Ocean, insect studies including Centipede and Underground World, as well as botanical drawings. This series will continue to grow, with new artworks added over time.

Latest SHOP Addition: Tiny Abstract Art: now in a 27 × 27 cm 3D frame

I created this tiny original abstract painting on a 10 × 10 cm canvas, starting with leftover paint and then adding fine details intuitively, layer by layer. This month, I framed it in a 27 × 27 × 6 cm 3D frame without glass, so the textured surface can be seen and even touched. I finished the artwork with UV-resistant varnish and a protective resin layer. This framed original mini abstract painting is now available in my online shop and can also be viewed and purchased directly at my Atelier Galerie Ala Botnarescu, in Scheidegg, Germany.

🎨 A One-of-a-Kind Resin Artist Palette Preserving Real Forest Treasures

As part of my Natural Elements Series, I created this unique handmade resin artist palette by collecting each natural element one by one during my walks through nature. Wild strawberries, moss, mushrooms, seeds, dried plants, and small tree branches became part of this composition, carefully preserved beneath a crystal-clear resin layer. Through this artwork, I transform fragile moments from nature into a timeless piece that connects organic beauty with contemporary resin art. This one-of-a-kind palette measures 21.3 × 29.5 cm and is available for purchase at Atelier Galerie Ala Botnarescu in Scheidegg, Germany; it can be used as a functional artist palette for mixing colors or transformed into a unique decorative artwork, displayed beautifully hanging on a window or wall, allowing the preserved natural elements to interact with light and space.

🎁 A Custom Drawing as Surprise Birthday Gifts

From a Flyer to a Birthday Portrait: How One Small Encounter Became a Meaningful Gift

Sometimes, the most meaningful art commissions begin with the simplest encounters. For me, this story started right here in the town where I run my art studio.

I had brought a few flyers to a public space where a future client of mine worked. As a small thank-you, I gave him a few miniature postcards featuring my artwork. They caught his attention, and he asked me something that made me smile: “You draw details this fine?” I said yes.

A few days later, he came back with a special request: a custom portrait of his teenage daughter as a birthday gift.

He sent me a lovely photograph of her from when she was little. We discussed the details, agreed on the terms, and I started drawing. The deadline was quite tight, but I managed to complete the portrait exactly as promised — just one day before her birthday.

I truly enjoyed every part of the process. Once the drawing was finished, I carefully chose a frame, cut the passe-partout to fit both the artwork and the frame, and prepared everything for delivery.

When I finally handed over the finished portrait, seeing both parents happy with the result made the entire process even more special.

New: One-of-a-Kind Jewelry — Natural Elements & Hand-Drawn Shrink Plastic

Unique Flower Seed Earrings — Sold Immediately

I created these one-of-a-kind flower seed earrings using real seeds I collected during my walks in nature, keeping their natural colour and delicate bell-like shape just as I found them. They are extremely lightweight and durable, protected with two layers of resin to preserve their natural beauty.

I finished this unique pair last weekend and placed it in my studio-gallery display at the beginning of this week. It didn’t even stay there for an hour — a visitor saw them and immediately said, “I’ll buy them!” I was delighted to see this little piece of nature find its new home so quickly.

🍀 Lucky Clover Collection — Recreated at a Customer’s Request

I first created just one pair of Lucky Clover earrings, which was purchased in spring. When the customer later lost one earring and asked me about a replacement, I brought the clover design back to my worktable — and this is how the new Lucky Clover Collection began.

Each piece is individually hand-drawn and finished with crystal-clear resin, turning my original miniature drawings into lightweight wearable art. The collection currently includes 3 pendants with chains, 2 pendants without chains, and 2 pairs of earrings with hooks

The customer recently ordered another Lucky Clover piece, which arrived safely, and her kind review on Google, made me especially happy.
