May 2026 unfolds as a high-activity month at Studio & Gallery Ala Botnarescu in Scheidegg, Bavaria, featuring Open Sunday, new art prints – wearable art, and handmade jewelry.

A spontaneous contemporary “footprints drawing” emerged when real paint footprints were transformed into a mixed media artwork using ink and markers, highlighting a process-based studio practice.

The month also included the announcement of the Atelier break from May 28 to June 8, 2026.

Open Sunday

On Sunday, May 17, from 11 AM to 5 PM, Scheidegg hosted the regional market “Gutes von Berg und See”, accompanied by traditional crafts at the Handwerkermuseum “Heimathaus” and a local book flea market.

During the event, I also opened Atelier Galerie Ala Botnarescu at Kirchplatz 3, 88175 Scheidegg. Inside the atelier, visitors could discover my exhibition featuring predominantly graphic works, alongside abstract artworks displayed also in the side exterior window. The atelier also offered handmade mini postcards with cute messages and handmade jewelry created with natural elements — some of them freshly made.

The day offered a clear reminder that attention naturally flows in different directions, and every experience becomes a quiet lesson in understanding how art finds its place in the world..

Where a client’s idea becomes wearable art: T-shirts & Cotton Tote Bags featuring my Illustration

One day in my studio this spring, someone asked me, after noticing a T-Shirt with a goat in the window — an illustration created by me — whether I also had a similar print, but featuring a cow, a widely appreciated symbol here in Bavaria.

I explained that, at that moment, I did not have such products available. However, inside the studio there was an original drawing of a cow displayed on the wall. I invited them to come in and take a look, mentioning that if they liked it, I could produce a few test T-shirts featuring that illustration.

The person said yes, and we agreed that once the tank tops are ready, I would notify them and reserve one. It didn’t take long for the idea to take root; I prepared the illustration for printing and turned the concept into reality.

Stay tuned — new items coming soon to the shop page!

Alongside the wearable art prints, a limited run of cotton tank tops featuring my goat illustration is still available — low stock, almost gone.

👣 My Real Footprints Became a Spontaneous Contemporary Drawing

While creating an emotional acrylic painting filled with fluid textures, water splashes, instinctive gestures, and spontaneous movement, something unexpected happened inside my studio in Bavaria. After removing my paint-covered shoes and socks, real footprints remained on the floor — and those accidental traces immediately inspired a completely new contemporary drawing.

I began transforming the authentic footprints embedded in the acrylic paint into part of the artwork itself, developing the details with ink, gel pens, and marker interventions. What started as an accidental studio moment slowly evolved into a mixed media composition about presence, imperfection, movement, and the relationship between the human body and contemporary artistic expression.

For me, the process became just as important as the final image. The footprints carried evidence of motion, emotion, and instinct — traces that could never be repeated in exactly the same way again. I wanted to preserve that fragile spontaneity and allow the drawing to remain honest, imperfect, and physically connected to the moment in which it appeared.

This artwork reflects my fascination with transforming accidental gestures into visual language. Inside the studio, even the floor can suddenly become part of the creative process. Sometimes contemporary art begins exactly where control disappears.

Handmade Jewelry Created from Natural Found Objects

This season, I introduced a new series of handmade jewelry created with natural elements collected during my walks in nature.

The collection includes two pendants created from pieces of tree bark, each shaped naturally over time and one-of-a-kind, impossible to replicate. Another piece features a small pine cone, partially worn down by the footsteps of passersby before being transformed into a unique handmade pendant with no identical counterpart.

These nature-inspired handmade pendants reflect my ongoing connection with organic materials, imperfect textures, and the quiet beauty found in overlooked details.

You can also visit my YouTube channel to see short Reels and moving close-up videos featuring these handmade pendants and their natural textures in motion.

Jewelry pieces can be viewed & purchased directly at the Studio Ala Botnarescu – Kirchplatz 3, 88175 Scheidegg, DE . Online via Instagram DM, or through my Etsy profile, where you can explore the currently available online collection.
