In this short overview, this article presents my newly framed scratchboard artwork, available for viewing and purchase in my studio as well as online. It also includes the completion and delivery of a custom commissioned drawing featuring a paraglider motif. Additionally, I am now registered on the international art platform SINGULART, expanding my visibility and opportunities for sales. At the end, I also present a small but useful hack for jewelry makers.

New in the PORTFOLIO – Apr. 2026

The Natural Elements Jewelry Series has lived in my mind for a long time, and I’m happy to finally give it a dedicated space in my portfolio. Each piece is entirely handmade by me, using resin and natural elements I collect during my walks—wood, moss, stones, dried flowers, and seeds—each carrying its own quiet story. No two pieces are ever the same. While only a small selection is available online – in my shop, or on Etsy, most works can be discovered at my atelier in Scheidegg or requested directly—making every piece a personal and rare encounter with nature transformed into art.

Latest SHOP Additions – Apr. 2026

The ‘Tree of Life’ scratchboard artwork, begun in February, is now complete, elegantly framed, and ready to transform a space—available in the gallery, online shop, and on Saatchi Art and Singulart. Each finely engraved line reveals light emerging from darkness, creating a striking black-and-white composition that radiates depth, calm power, and timeless presence—an artwork meant not just to be seen, but truly felt.

Custom Artwork Finished

At the beginning of the month, I completed and delivered a custom commissioned illustration featuring a paraglider motif, created as a personalized birthday gift for a client. The artwork was finished and handed over exactly as agreed, staying true to the promised deadline. The client was pleasantly surprised with the result, and I always find it deeply rewarding when a commissioned piece leaves the studio fully meeting expectations and bringing joy to its recipient.

You can also watch the second part of the drawing process, “Bringing the Background to Life,” on my YouTube channel.

Studio Jewelry Hack by Ala Botnarescu: Perfect Wire Loop Technique

❤️‍🔥 Feel free to Like, Comment, and Subscribe

Crafting precision in every curve, I create a custom wire loop for one of my handmade pendant using round nose pliers, carefully matching the diameter for a perfect fit—neither too tight nor too loose. This small but essential detail ensures a secure and elegant attachment to a cord or chain.

With a controlled motion, the wire transforms into a clean spiral that naturally embraces the pendant, as if it was always meant to be there. To complete the piece, I trim the excess wire with cutting pliers, achieving a clean, professional finish.
