About the Atelier Gallery Ala Botnarescu

It all started on an ordinary day as I was walking through the center of Scheidegg. In the window of a traditional Bavarian wooden house, I noticed a small sign saying that a space was available for rent. Although several people had already applied, I hoped for the best. To my delight, the owner chosse me, and that is how I received the keys to my art studio. I began my journey in the spring of 2024, full of excitement but also carrying a few doubts. Starting something new is never easy—but I was following a lifelong dream, and that gave me the courage to move forward. In the beginning, I didn’t even have art rails to hang my work. With a limited budget, I made a few small but important investments to turn the space into something functional. I could only afford rails for two of the walls, but it was a start.

Opened in May 2024 – Ala Botnarescu Studio Scheidegg is located in the heart of Bavaria, Germany, offering a unique collection of contemporary artworks and creative projects. The studio & gallery sits right in the center of Scheidegg, directly across from St. Gallus Church and Hotel Post. This picturesque small town, near Lake Constance and the Austrian border, invites visitors to enjoy its peaceful atmosphere, scenic forests, rolling hills, and stunning views of the Alps.

Opening Hours

Das Studio hat einen unterschiedlichen Zeitplan für Sommer- und Wintersaison, angepasst an den Besucherfluss und die Bedingungen im Studio. In den kälteren Monaten ist das Studio schwerer zu beheizen, und die Zahl der Touristen ist geringer – typisch für eine Kleinstadt mit etwa 4.400 Einwohnern.

Please note: The studio is closed in January. Private visits, workshops, and selected artwork shipping are available by appointment.

1. Originale Gelstift-Grafiken – the heart of the collection (≈68%).
2. Natural Elements Series – Wall & Deco Objects – small to medium resin sculptures and canvas compositions combining resin with natural elements, and more. (≈20–30%).
3. Drucke – canvas prints with the artist’s own nature photographs (mainly flowers and Bavarian landscapes), standard postcards featuring Ala Botnarescu’s illustrations, mini postcards with motivational messages, T-shirts with goat oder cow illustration, und tote bags. (≈15–30%).
4. Handmade Jewelry – resin jewelry combined with natural elements (a key part of the collection), as well as natural clay, polymer clay, and fine hand-drawn wooden jewelry created by the artist. (≈28%).
5. Abstrakte Gemälde – original acrylic and oil artworks (≈12–15%).
6. Mini-Dekorationsgegenstände – magnets and small handmade decorations for various occasions, such as New Year and Valentine’s Day (≈8–10%).

📦 Artistic Packaging & Presentation

At Atelier Galerie Ala Botnarescu, each piece is presented with special attention to detail, where packaging is thoughtfully designed as part of the overall artistic experience. For a more classic presentation, I also offer rigid black cardboard boxes with the atelier logo.

• Small square jewelry boxes in various colors, decorated with pressed flowers
• Classic medium-sized black rigid cardboard boxes with the atelier logo, mainly for artworks.
