Staufner Kunstpreis 2024 – Award-Winning Artwork by Ala Botnarescu

Ala Botnarescu wins the Staufner Kunstpreis 2024 for her artwork “A Dress from the Past” at the Künstlerkreis exhibition in Kurhaus Oberstaufen.

The Staufner Kunstpreis 2024 is a popular, regional award presented by the Künstlerkreis group in Oberstaufen, recognizing outstanding achievements in contemporary art.

I was deeply honored to receive the Staufner Kunstpreis 2024 for my artwork “A Dress from the Past”. The jury selected it for its unique combination of cyanotype technique and gel pen detailing, blending traditional photographic processes with modern line work.

The exhibition took place in April 2024 at the Kurhaus Oberstaufen, attracting many visitors and art enthusiasts. The day before the vernissage, I learned the term ‘Lampenfieber’ (stage fright), and on the day of the opening, I truly experienced it when stepping onto the stage 😅—a memorable moment!
