The regional newspaper Der Westallgäuer featured artist Ala Botnarescu and her journey of opening her own art studio in the heart of Scheidegg.

She exhibits drawings, abstract paintings, photographs, and handmade jewelry crafted from natural materials. While the first year brought challenges — especially in making a living solely from art — it also became a time of growth, experimentation, and community connection.

Inspired by nature, Ala incorporates leaves, seeds, and stones into her resin artworks and designs unique accessories.

Looking ahead, she plans to offer painting workshops to bring more people closer to the joy of creating art.

Artist Ala Botnarescu and the winner, Mrs. Maintz from Königswinter

Last year, I received the Staufner Kunstpreis 2024 during the group exhibition alongside my colleagues from Künstlerkreis Oberstaufen.

This year, following tradition, I donated one of my artworks for the art treasure hunt held during the exhibition. I’m happy to share that after the drawing, my artwork was won by one of the visitors. 🎉
